  1. Hold the knife in such a way that the blade does not point towards the body.
  2. Set the blade on the sharpening surface using a 20° angle.
  3. Using slight pressure and with long sharpening movements, let the blade traverse across the sharpening surface from the point to the start of blade, regularly alternating between the two sides of the knife blade. For pointed tools, use a non-perforated diamond surface.
  4. Use water as a lubricant. After using, rinse with water and dry.
